Security & privacy
Where does Monadeo keep your financial records?
Your core financial records stay on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud. Monadeo does not operate a central database containing your complete financial records.
This page is a plain-language product and architecture overview. The Privacy Policy is the governing disclosure and remains separate.
A local-first record model
Core financial records
The main records you create for accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, and debts are stored through the app on your Apple devices. This design limits the need for Monadeo to hold a complete copy of your personal financial record set on its own systems.
Optional synchronization through your iCloud
If you enable Apple synchronization, eligible records can be stored in your Apple iCloud or CloudKit environment and synchronized for the Monadeo experiences you use. Your Apple account, device settings, connectivity, and Apple service availability affect that synchronization.
Limited services have narrower purposes
Local-first does not mean that no data ever leaves a device. Monadeo uses limited operational services for specific functions, and those services do not constitute a central copy of your complete financial records.
Account and purchase operations
Authentication and purchase services may process the identifiers and transaction information needed to provide those functions.
Support and product operations
Support messages, legal-document delivery, and feature voting process the information needed for the action you choose.
Analytics and diagnostics
Limited analytics, performance, and crash-diagnostic information may be used to understand reliability and improve the product under the applicable settings and disclosures.
What the current security scope does—and does not—claim
Current verified boundary
- Monadeo places a privacy cover over app content when it moves into the background, helping protect app-switcher snapshots.
- That privacy cover is not described as a biometric or passcode application lock.
- Protecting the device, Apple account, passcode, passwords, and iCloud environment remains an important part of the user security boundary.
- No security page can promise that software, devices, networks, or third-party services are risk-free.
Website privacy and consent
The website can process limited technical information needed for hosting, security, consent, performance, and requested support. Cookiebot manages cookie choices, and website measurement is intended to follow the visitor's consent selection. The Cookie Policy explains the website-specific controls.
